Who can Portugal climb to 3rd, with some bad results in the last qualification?
ReplyDeletePortugal is the only european team to not lose a match in 2009, and they havent lost a match in about a year and a half.
ReplyDeleteAs Smashing said, Portugal had a very good 2009, as 736 points of their 1249 are from the last 12 months.
ReplyDeleteWhile Portugal hasn't lost since Sept. 2008, they really haven't beaten any one either. The highest rated opponent they beat are currently ranked 49th. Does strength of schedule factor into this ranking at all? Or can a team make it all the way to the top by bulking up on a steady diet of minnows?
