How do teams that are inactive gain points in the period?
ReplyDeleteMost likely because old defeats drop to an older time frame.
ReplyDeleteFor instance - if a team has 3300 points from 11 matches (the oldest being a defeat) and that defeat drops to the next time frame, that team will gain 30 points.
Ah yeah. Should looked into it abit more. Thanks Edgar.
ReplyDeleteAlso.
"Some teams have actually gained points due to the fact that the devaluation of poor results has led to a greater weighting of successful matches."
Edgar,
ReplyDeleteApologies for being off-topic here, but with the preliminary 30-player rosters announced, it would be interesting to see a cross table showing in which country each nation's 30 (or fewer) members play their club matches. Of the roughly 900 players on these rosters, it would be interesting to see how many play their club ball in England, Spain, Italy, USA, etc.
Dorian, I'll look into it - although it's not my sort of thing. I'm making no promises though.
