2014 FIFA World Cup seeding for CONCACAF teams (9 June 2010)

That's the most tricky of all, as there's little info regarding the qualifying system.

See these posts:

CONCACAF moving to a final octagonal? and CONCACAF qualifying system news

That's why I'll only list the May 2011 ranking (the one used last time around) and the July 2011 ranking - the last one available at the time of the draw.

  1. edgar eventhough am from ja I think I rather the Honduran view
of new qualifying format i.e 4
groups of 4 before the final round ,what that will do it will
let an additional 2 teams in the final round , this could be better
for caribbean teams because a league like format would be better
for central american teams primarily costa rica & Honduras .
I am hoping concacaf be fair to jamaica for 2014 Qualifiers and when FIFA does it's draw it does
not let anyone from concacaf select the Groups like what Kasey
keller did in 2007 in Durban South
Africa , it would be best if computers fix the groups or let someone from caf or UEFA, do so .
On Intercontinental playoff I think nobody knows what fifa are
doing , what we must remember is it
rotates in 'o6 ,'10 and may do so
    again for 2014 . I had a chat with
Jack Warner and he said nobody knows the confederation fixtures
for 2014 (meaning confed v cenfed)
but I think wikipedia have all rights to withdraw its article on
world cup qualifying 2014 confederations allocation . It would be nice to see a caribbean v oceania fixture , a sub region (cfu)and a sub confederation (ofc)
    this time around .

  2. I sure we won't see a CFU vs. OFC. Maybe a CONCACAF vs. OFC. However, I think FIFA will keep the play-offs as they are now - to minimize travel.
