EURO 2012: Final draw coefficients (30 June 2010)

The coefficients for the EURO 2012 final draw will take into account results from:

EURO 2008 (qualifiers and final tournament) - 20% of total weighting
2010 World Cup (qualifiers and final tournament) - 40% of total weighting
EURO 2012 (qualifiers) - 40% of total weighting

Hosts Poland (23806) and Ukraine (28029) will be seeded for the final draw, along with 2008 winners, Spain, if they qualify.

  1. Edgar, how is it possible that my calculations are different from yours? My mistake, I assume...

    Example for Spain:
    Coefficient Euro2008: 41835, 20% is 8367
    Coefficient WC2010 (including 2nd Round result): 42002, 40% is 16801.

    Adding those figures, makes a total of 25168.

    Only explanation I can think of is that you already calculated the 10 matches for the Euro2012 campaign of Spain. In that case, my calculations are 29078, still a bit different...

  2. Yes, I've already included the 10 matches for EURO 2012, but I think the difference comes from the 2010 WC.

    I think you already gave Spain 18000 for the upcoming QF match. I did the same, but I also increased the number of matches by 1. Thus, you have 588033/14 = 42022.35, I have 598033/15 = 39868.86
