I love this thing, thank you Edgar.
ReplyDeleteBit unsure about your stats - sure Chelsea have 13 if you include Stoch (who has been on loan at Twente), but in that case Barcelona have 14 because they have Carceres from Uruguay who has been on loan at Juventus - right?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, looks like Drogba and Ferdinand are already out which could mean these stats are old within a couple of hours. Which is a real shame because I love this sort of information!
Edgar,
ReplyDeleteMany thanks!
I'm not too sure about your stats regarding league representation. Wellington Phoenix compete in the Australian A-League and Team Wellington compete in the New Zealand Football Championship.
ReplyDeleteIf you include Michael Beauchamp's move to Melboure Heart 3 weeks ago, the Australian A-League will have 10 World Cup representatives (Culina, Smeltz, Paston, Sigmund, Lochhead, Brown, Bertos, Moss, Brockie & Beauchamp)and the NZFC will have 4 (Vicelich, Barron, Bannetyne & Clapham).
@seventeen17
ReplyDeleteCaceres is listed at Juventus: Uruguay squad
@Jarryd
Yes, you're right. I assumed if a team is listed as being based in a country, it will also be competing in that country's league. Will fix it in a couple of minutes.
@edgar
ReplyDeleteyes, you're right looking at the official fifa lists, but do you see the inconsistency? unless carceres is about to sign for juventus?
Edgar, this is brilliant stuff! I have a small request... Can you please post the actual Raw Data for all 32 teams? All I need is the team name, the players' names, their ages, number of caps, their height and their weight. I am a Maths school teacher and the information will be fantastic to use in my stats lessons!! Thank you soooo much! Mr M
ReplyDelete@seventeen17
ReplyDeleteI agree, but I really don't have the time to go through all the list and check each player's status. I'm afraid this will have to do for now :)
@Mr M
Use the e-mail address from my profile.
Brilliant work mate! Is it possible to post the average squad age NOT including the keeper? The advanced age of some keepers can greatly skew the overall average age I think, especially for the first 11. England is a typical example ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Ron!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, with all the squad changes due to injuries, I think it's no longer relevant. For instance, I'm pretty sure Dawson won't start for England.
