Edgar,
ReplyDeleteDo Mexico and the US rank so low due to Euro 2012 qualifiers boosting the European teams?
Thx.
Ah totally forgot about this. Thanks for the update. Really and should continue to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteYes, Dorian, that's the reason.
ReplyDeleteEdgar,
ReplyDeleteWhat date do you use as deadline for the October 2013 rankings?
October 18th as release date. It's the first Friday after the official match dates. I will update this date if needed.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it, what are the rules? What games are taken into consideration?
ReplyDeleteGames played and scheduled between October 2009 and October 2010 - the first time frame of the October 2013 ranking.
ReplyDeleteEdgar, when I take your deadline, I have different values. Spain played 16 matches between October 19, 2009 and October 18, 2010 and scored 16422,685 points. So, in my calculation that's 205 points. Same problem for the other countries in the top 20. What am I doing wrong?
ReplyDeleteAdd two games scheduled in October and you'll get 182.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the comment above yours, you'll see why we have different values.
And I really hate AFC's qualifying format!
ReplyDeleteEdgar, I see. Thanks for the notification. I didn't realize that you included the October-matches into your calculations.
