2014 FIFA World Cup seeding for CAF (1 April 2011)

Next update: 10 June 2011

Assumptions:

- CAF will keep the current qualifying system
- FIFA will use the FIFA ranking to seed the teams
- CAF will choose the July 2011 ranking for seeding

The July 2011 FIFA ranking will include matches played between July 2007 and July 2011. Only 4 months left, so rankings can't change too much.
This the July 2011 ranking (for CAF only) using matches played up to and including March 29th, 2011 and matches scheduled up to July 2011 (only those on fifa.com).

The "1.0" part is computed this way: points gained / (number of matches played + scheduled).

South Africa replace Botswana in the first pot.
Niger replace Central African Republic in the second pot.
Rwanda and Madagascar replace Ethiopia and Guinea-Bissau in the third pot.

Best movers:

6 - South Africa
5 - Madagascar
4 - Algeria and Senegal

Worst movers:

-4 - Cameroon and Gabon
-3 - Tunisia, Botswana, Benin, Central African Republic and Burundi
-2 - Nigeria, Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau and Chad

Most points gained:

152 - South Africa
145 - Senegal
144 - Algeria
