EURO 2012 qualifying: 24 teams outcome

Most of this article is based on fillow's post on Bert Kassies forum.

Who would have qualified for a 2012 EURO with 24 teams?

The two hosts, 9 group winners, 9 group runners-up and 4 teams from play-offs between the best third placed teams.

Ranking of third placed teams discarding results against the sixth ranked team in the group where applicable:

Norway 16 10 - 7
Hungary 13 11 - 14
Armenia 11 15 - 10
Switzerland 11 12 - 10
Scotland 11 9 - 10
Israel 10 8 - 10
Belgium 9 15 - 14
Serbia 9 7 - 11
Romania 8 8 - 8

Romania out as the worst third placed team. Yes, Romania :)
