Next update: 14 October 2011 or later.
The coefficients for the EURO 2016 qualifying draw will take into account results from:
2010 World Cup (qualifiers and final tournament) - 20% of total weighting
EURO 2012 (qualifiers and final tournament) - 40% of total weighting
2014 World Cup (qualifiers) - 40% of total weighting
Click here for more info on the coefficient system.
The qualifying format is already known (but things might change): 9 groups (2 x 5, 7 x 6)
Top two from each group and the best team in third place advance. The other eight play-off for the final four spots.

Great result in beating the Swiss last night should see Wales into pot 4 once we thrash Bulgaria on tueday.
ReplyDeleteWith Belarus, Georgia and Finland having a tough WC group then pot 3 is now realistic.
Let's just hope they don't change the system before then :)
whers france?
ReplyDeleteFrance are hosting.
ReplyDeleteThanks stuart!
ReplyDeleteHi Edgar, I hope you have time to do a new update for next Friday, since I had my hopes for the 14th. I asume Sweden will hop to Group 1 after twe two wins last week. Many thanks for your efforts on this web page.
ReplyDeleteAfter the last qualifying group matches, Spain has taken the lead. Holland drop to 3rd behind Germany. Sweden and Denmark enter pot 1, instead of Ukraine and Croatia. Lots of movement between pots 3 and 4 (Belgium, Scotland, Estonia to pot 3, Belarus, Montenegro, Finland to pot 4).
ReplyDeleteThat;s my calculation, they may differ from Edgar's.
