The official deadline for matches was yesterday, but based on the ranking prognosis for teams like Palestine and Angola, it seems FIFA will extend the deadline to Sunday.
Pan Arab games involving Libya and Jordan have disappeared and then appeared again on FIFA.com. I know Libya and Jordan wrote to FIFA to have those games removed. However, since those matches are now displayed, I used them to compute the points. Not sure how Hussein feels about this :)
The top 50 is virtually unchanged.

ReplyDeleteFeeling of sadness and anger
For 2 weeks the matches of Libya and jordan
are not in FIFA.com
and now they are !!
Libyan football FD will inquire about that?
Hussein Budejaja
There's still time. FIFA send the list of matches on Monday as far as I remember. Maybe those matches will again be removed.
ReplyDeleteI Hope that Edgar ...
ReplyDeleteI will try with fifa.com today
and Libyan football FD will write tommorow to FIFA to have those games removed...
IF you know somebodey in the fifa.com tell them about this :(
Thanks Edgar
Hussein
It's between Libya FA and FIFA. There's nothing I can do.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have no special contact at FIFA. Au contraire :)
ReplyDeleteIs this a new trend.. FA's asking FIFA to remove matches because it hurt their ranking position?
ReplyDeleteThe more transparency in the ranking, the more manipulation it seems.
johnny
ReplyDeleteTEAMS IN pan arab play with the 2nd team (B) AND OLYMPIC teams ...
Libya and Jordan ask to remove there matches before they play and FIFA remover there matches 2 weeks but the fifa retun these matches!!

EDGAR

Hussein
Hussein...I'm Jordanian, also not happy for this...I will appreciate your help if you tell them to remove Jordan Games also from Calculating in FIFA RAnking, since Jordan is in "B" Team in Pan Arab Games...we still have 3 days for this...
ReplyDeleteTarek
Bosnia top 20 country of the world!
ReplyDeleteThis is too little too late. they deserved to be at EURO but UEFA robbed them with Portugal draw.
Wait and see Portugal go to knock out stages of Euro.
I would agree with the above. Not to mention what kind draw for Republic of Ireland against Estonia in the play-offs. No doubt Bosnia were the most unlucky (even Estonia had chances against Rep Ireland).
ReplyDeleteAll in all, money talks, Euro draws near.
@Hussein and Tarek
ReplyDeleteJordan's and Libya's matches were removed again. Good news :) The ranking should be published in 45 minutes.
Edgar

ReplyDeleteTarek/jordan
could it be that the 3-letter-code of Sudan has changed from "SUD" into "SDN"?
ReplyDelete...cause I'm really a little confused if I have been blind before or if I am confused at the moment...:) http://www.fifa.com/associations/association=sdn/countryInfo.html
btw. there's another thing concerning the 3-letter-codes (but which had already existed before), cause if you click at Mongolia in the ranking-table (http://www.fifa.com/worldranking/rankingtable/index.html#), then it shows "MNG"
ReplyDelete...but if you click at the country-page(http://www.fifa.com/associations/association=mng/countryInfo.html), then it's "MGL"...?
I also noticed the Mongolia problem some time ago and even wrote to FIFA about this.
ReplyDeleteAbout Sudan, I think FIFA are preparing for South Sudan to join FIFA in the near future.
