Luis "El Teacher" Cárdenas wrote an article for Balonazos.com two days ago, announcing a fall of six places for Venezuela. That's unlikely to happen. I don't have the time right now to check, but I think it's impossible for all four of Gabon, Tunisia, Mali and Zambia to overtake Venezuela.
I have them dropping only 3 places to 44th - based on probable results in the knock-out stage of the African Cup of Nations.
Speaking of the knock-out stage, this is one of the mistake El Teacher made. According to his article, the knock-out stage games won't be included in the February ranking. As you all know, that's false. FIFA will include all games, up to Sunday since it's a final tournament.
Based on this assumption, El Teacher computed a wrong total for Tunisia (621). Tunisia can have anywhere between 573 and 772 points.
While I can understand the 621 points for Tunisia, I can't quite understand how El Teacher came out with 623 points for Libya - they will only have 581 points.
One other problem it the extra team he has between Argentina and Ecuador. I have Ecuador in 40th place, while El Teacher has them in 41st.

ReplyDeleteI think Luis "El Teacher" did not
computed a total for Tunisia (621) or Libya (623)
The MISTAKE WAS IN THE FIFA.COM!!
THE 2 TEAMS libya and tunisia played with
Côte d'Ivoire
tunisia lose 2-0
Libya lose 1-0
the matches did not count in jan but it will in feb
FIFA.COM !!

ReplyDeleteI computed accord the first stage, 'cause FIFA.com only have the matches of that and no go on with the knock-out stage of the African Cup of Nations. I supposed that games was computed by march and not february.

ReplyDeleteThis is not a true reflection but just shows how biased your system is.
