Ghana replace Portugal in the list of seeds.
Right now, the seeds for the 2014 World Cup would be: Brazil, Spain, Côte d'Ivoire, Uruguay, Netherlands, Germany, Argentina and Ghana.
With Africa Cup Of Nation being Held both in 2012 and 2013, they will probably go back to the old method of seeding...
ReplyDeleteAmir, what was the former method? That the chairmen of FIFA decided the seeding over a cup of coffee? Isn´t it already decided how the seeding will be done? If you have any info, please share. BKP
DeleteI believe it was World Rankings count for half the ranking and previous World Cup performance counts for the other half.
DeleteEven if they went back to that old system, as long as they perform in the cups, Ghana with their quarter final would still stand a strong chance of being seeded. It might even help them.
