FIFA Ranking: December 2012 probable ranking (IV)

Probable results computed using the Elo Ratings. See the list of results used for this ranking.

Couple of things will happen (not depending on probable results):

• The top 21 teams are already set.
• Ecuador, Mali, Aruba, Montserrat and Timor-Leste will improve their best ever ranking.
• Côte d'Ivoire will return to their best ever ranking.
• Cayman Islands and Seychelles will return to their worst ever ranking
• Brazil, Sri Lanka and Eritrea will fall to new lows. 
• Spain will be the Team of the Year

Unless Dominican Republic pull of something extremely unlikely at the 2012 Caribbean Cup, Colombia will be the Best Mover of the year (most points gained since December 2011) with 455 points.

Expect some raised eyebrows in South East Asia. Although Vietnam were eliminated in the group stage of the AFF Suzuki Cup, they will climb at least 6 places, while the Philippines will drop at least 1 spot, even if they advance to the final with two wins against Singapore.

Based on these probable results, Burundi, Trinidad and Tobago, Thailand and Sao Tome e Principe will climb 15 or more places, while Belize, Dominican Republic, Lebanon, Bermuda, Chad, Afghanistan, Wales, Korea DPR, Curacao, and St. Kitts and Nevis will drop 15 or more spots.
