  1. Thanks Edgar, but just a correction: this is actually a probable ranking table and not a preview. Minimum and maximum points per team are not matching.

  2. Hi Edgar.

Algeria withdrew from the African Cup of local players (CHAN) and will not going to play the game in Algiers on June 23rd and the second leg in Tripoli on July 5th. This seems to be due to security concerns in Libya and possible tension in Tripoli but the Algerian Federation (FAF) argued that to possible move to key players of the local national teams to a number of clubs in Europe and a number of injuries for their teammates.

Both games are considered by Fifa as friendlies, the first game will be affecting the ranking in July while the second will affect the ranking in August.

African teams start thinking about improving their FIFA ranking for September before the draw planned on September 16th. The top 5 ranked teams in September will avoid facing each other.

It would be excellent to make a predicted ranking for all African teams likely to qualify for the third stage of WCQs with the games played so far (excluding any games played in August and September).

How the two teams get affected by the removal of the two games.
