Hi. Why is Afghanistan losing points if it was not for winning some matches in the SAFF 2015?
ReplyDeleteEdgar used the minimum points in the table for Afghanistan. This means he included three losses for Afghanistan in the group stage of SAFF 2015. A bit pessimistic with regard to the defending champion, I think.
ReplyDeleteThree group-stage wins earn Afghanistan 187 points; a win in the semi-final 189 points and a win in the final 192 points, the maximum points Edgar presented. So even with a reprise of your title Afghanistan will lose some points compared to the December ranking (194).
Thanks Ed!
Deletein saff, teams are playing each other. but u predicted all of them losing all the matches. how this is possible?!. same with costarica cuba nicaragua honduras also.
ReplyDeleteEdgar wanted to show the worst each country could do. It was not meant to predict the outcomes.
ReplyDeletebosnia at number 22 should be ashamed for missing out on Euro 2016. ASHAMMED!!
ReplyDeleteIs there any effect on rankings if the country wins it in extra time or penalties?
ReplyDeleteIf yes how much points vl India have den???
A win in extra time counts, just like a normal win in 90 minutes, as 3 points for the winner and no points for the loser. When it goes to penalties the winner of the penalty shoot out gets 2 points and the loser 1 point.
DeleteIndia will have 139 points on spot 163 in the January ranking.
Thanks Ed!
