FIFA Ranking: August 2017 preview

FIFA will publish the ranking on 10 August. Of course, the CONCACAF Gold Cup is the big event this month and there are some CHAN qualifiers and the final matches of the 2017 COSAFA Cup.

This preview is based on 10000 simulations.



Top 10 already set.

Brazil will return to the top (devaluation of results) and (obviously) their best ever ranking.

Poland will improve again their best ever ranking.

Singapore will return to their worst ever ranking (171st - October 2016).

Three teams will drop to new lows:

Netherlands (at most 34 - 32 in July 2017)
Kuwait (174 - 173 in July 2017)
Cuba (at most 182 - 175 in December 1994)

Switzerland will be 4th after 23 years and 4 months (April 1994).
