FIFA ranking: June 2022 probable ranking

Here is the probable June 2022 ranking, to be published on Thursday June 23rd. 

After the commotion of the March window and subsequent World Cup draw a very quiet period in NT-football began with room for the conclusion of the domestic and continental cup seasons in club football. However, the next NT-football window starts after next week and will span two weeks instead of the normal one week: from May 30th until June 14th. This because of the World Cup to be played from November this year.

What can we expect in this June window ? Well, a lot of matches:

• in Europe 4 match days in the UEFA Nations League 2022/23 group stage (Russia is suspended for this tournament);
• in Africa 2 match days in the CAF Nations Cup 2023 qualifying group stage;
• in North and Central America 4 match days in the CONCACAF Nations League 2022/23 group stage;
• in Asia 3 match days in the final AFC Nations Cup 2023 qualifying single round-robin group stage, to be played in centralized venues. China, the host of the 2023 final tournament, has in the meantime returned their hosting rights, in the aftermath of still severe COVID-19 measures;
• in World Cup qualification (yes, there are still 3 berths to determine) the postponed semi final and final matches concerning Ukraine in the UEFA path A play-off, the AFC play-off for 5th place between Australia and United Arab Emirates and finally the two intercontinental play-offs between the AFC number 5 and Peru and between Costa Rica and New Zealand. The insignificant postponed group match between Brazil and Argentina is for now scheduled in the September window, but the last word about this match is yet to be said by CAS in Switzerland.
• lots of friendlies, with some matches between the top Asian teams like Japan and Korea Republic and CONMEBOL teams involved, some in the friendly Japanese Kirin Cup 2022 and last but not least the Finallissima 2022: the newly introduced Super cup between the current champions of Europe and South America, Italy and Argentina.
